COSHH Basic Awareness

This course is for all personnel who use, manage, store or transport dangerous or potentially dangerous substances. The course will also cover the value and purpose of conducting COSHH assessment, prevention and control measures, storing and disposing of hazardous substances, safe handling and the ability to identify and classify hazardous substances.

Course Description

This course is for all personnel who use, manage, store or transport dangerous or potentially dangerous substances. Learners attending the course will receive a COSHH Awareness Certificate.

Course Aims

By the end of the course attendees will have learnt to:

• Explain the COSHH regulations
• Identify hazards and risks and research data sheets
• Gain  knowledge of hazard symbols
• Be aware of controls including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
