Course Overview
The EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Automotive Engineering is a work-based qualification designed for individuals working within automotive engineering who want to demonstrate and develop their occupational competence. The qualification covers a broad range of automotive engineering disciplines, allowing learners to select a pathway that reflects their actual job role and the skills they use in the workplace. Learners develop and demonstrate practical engineering competence while building their knowledge of areas such as workplace safety, engineering documentation, efficient working practices and specialist automotive engineering activities. As this is an NVQ, assessment is primarily carried out through real work activities in the workplace, with learners building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence.
Who Is This Qualification For?
This qualification is suitable for individuals who need to develop automotive engineering competencies for the engineering sector. Employees already working within automotive engineering who need additional competencies for their existing role. Employees looking to develop their skills to support future career progression. There are no formal entry requirements specified by EAL. However, learners must have the potential and, importantly, the workplace opportunities needed to achieve the assessment criteria and gather suitable evidence.
